MAISA MAJAKKA
Maisa Majakka (s.1989) asuu ja työskentelee Helsingissä. Majakan figuratiivisten veistosten ja reliefien materiaalina on korkeapolttoinen keramiikka, jonka pintaa taiteilija työstää monivaiheisesti kerrostaen. Teosten aiheet kumpuavat taiteilijan omasta elämästä ja havainnoista. Häntä kiinnostavat arkiset joutilaisuuden ja vapauden kokemukset, kaupunkikulttuuri, ystävyys ja kumppanuus eri muodoissaan sekä inhimilliset tunteet kuten rakkaus, melankolia ja halu. Teosten narratiivi on avoin, ja tunnelma usein ambivalentti. Protagonistina toimii nuoren naisen hahmo.
Majakan teoksia on on ollut esillä Suomessa, Saksassa, Tanskassa ja Kroatiassa. Hänen viimeisin yksityisnäyttelynsä oli Galleria Snow’ssa Berliinissä syyskuussa 2022. Suomessa Majakan teoksia on nähty mm. Vantaan taidemuseossa, Galerie Forsblomin studiossa sekä Kuvan Kevät -maisterinäyttelyssä v. 2020. Majakan teoksia on HAM:in, Vantaan taidemuseon, Päivi ja Paavo Lipposen säätiön sekä HUS:in kokoelmissa.

LIZ JACKSON
Artist Elizabeth Jacksons practice centres around using visceral language as a catalyst for intuitive making as well as being concerned with embodied modes of knowledge production, and the transformation of clay into something, rooted in knowledge that can’t quite be explained verbally but is activated within us.
She lives and works in London. She graduated in 2021 with an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the RCA where on graduating she was awarded the Anglo Swedish Exchange Residency at Konstfack in Stockholm. Her work has been exhibited at the British Ceramic Biennial and Ingram Prize amongst others and is part of private collections.

"I love to use bold colours, unexpected forms and joy. With these choices I want to evoke people with questions, make them happy and find insightful solutions."
Designer Tero Kuitunen, b. 1986, is inspired by the interface of design and art, the unprejudiced apposition of things, floating sceneries, and the meaning of humor and touch in design. Throughout his work, Tero wants to find something that moves and touches people. Materials and colours are often his biggest inspiration when starting a new design project.
